The School District of Palm Beach County Police Department is a fully accredited police agency that services the tenth-largest school district in the nation and the fifth-largest in the State of Florida serving more than 197,000 students, with 186 schools over 2,338 square miles.
Over 200 uniformed police officers are assigned to schools throughout Palm Beach County. These officers are responsible for campus patrol, initial case investigations, subsequent follow-up,
and, when necessary, making arrests.Additionally, the officers provide classroom presentations, counsel students and parents, engage students through mentoring, and serve as positive role models to help promote healthy relationships between youth and law enforcement.

How to Qualify for Positions
Applicants must be a certified police officer in the State of Florida in accordance with CJSTC standards. (Academy graduates must also have successfully completed the state exam)
Applicants that are certified police officers in other states, must complete the Equivalency of Training (EOT) Course and successfully complete the state exam. A link to a pdf with information about EOT would be provided.

New Applicants
All School District of Palm Beach County jobs are advertised online and all applications must be submitted online.
Applicants must complete the School District online application and must attach a cover letter of intent and a resume.
Once the online application is received, reviewed, and if accepted, the applicant may be sent a School Police Application Packet via email with further instructions.
