FLVS and High School Credit
Are you interested in earning high school credits BEFORE getting to high school? Below are a few options (some classes have prerequisite requirements). For more information, contact your grade-level school counselor. Keep in mind, any class taken for high school credit will go on your permanent transcript for high school, meaning it is a factor in your GPA that colleges look at.
Algebra I, Geometry, Physical Science, and Computer Fundamentals (8th Grade, only)
Are you interested in getting a head start on high school classes through an online platform? FLVS has many options. From fulfilling your PE requirement ahead of time, to learning a new language (often required for college admission), FLVS may be a good fit for you. Positive Behavioral Interventions Support
Our Mission
Positive Behavioral Interventions Support (PBIS) seeks to reduce or eliminate poor behavior school wide through the encouragement of positive behaviors, creating an improved school climate for the entire student body. The focus of PBIS is prevention, not punishment.
Who We Are

Small Group Counseling
As school counselors, we gather data to determine small group needs as well as student interest. Based on our data, we implement small groups as a responsive service for our students. Small groups are available to all students, in all grade levels. Some of our small group topics from last year focused on self-esteem, etiquette, social skills, anxiety, grief and loss, leadership, and organization/study skills.
Small groups help students feel like they are not alone in what they are experiencing and create a sense of universalism. Students gain valuable strategies and resources in working through their struggles, while being able to "practice" the concepts being taught.
