Week of 1/20/2025
-
Welcome to another exciting week at Dwyer High School! As we celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and look forward to the upcoming inauguration, let’s embrace the spirit of unity and progress. Here’s what’s happening this week!
This week
Seniors: Please double-check the spelling of your formal name in the Student Information System (SIS). If you find any errors, have a parent or guardian visit Guidance to make the necessary corrections by January 27, 2025. If you have any questions, feel free to email your school counselor!
College and Career Exploration: We’re thrilled to introduce a new feature in Xello, our district's career and education planning platform! Parents and guardians can now create their own accounts, allowing you to actively engage in your child’s educational journey.\
If you have an email registered in SIS, you should have received a notification from Xello with your user account name and password on January 14, 2025. With your Xello account, you can:
- Explore your child’s career and education goals.
- Collaborate in planning pathways for success.
- Stay informed about your child’s aspirations and interests.
To access your account, click here: Xello Login
Seniors Mid-Year Information: Many colleges require a Mid-Year Report, which includes first-semester grades. It’s your responsibility to check your college portal for this requirement and ensure it’s completed. Remember, first-semester grades/credits have been posted, and you can now order your Mid-Year Report (transcript) if needed.
If your college application requires the SSAR/SPARK, please log in and update your first-semester grades from "IP" (in progress) to the grade you received.
To request a transcript:
- Complete the Transcript Request Google Form
- Pay a $3.25 fee via School Cash Online and upload the receipt to the form.
- Allow at least three working days for processing.
Florida Bright Futures: Don’t forget to submit the Florida Financial Aid Application (FFAA) to qualify for the Bright Futures Scholarship by August 31st after graduation. We encourage seniors to submit before January 31st for early evaluation of eligibility.
ACT®/SAT®/CLT® Scores: Make sure your demographics on test registrations and transcripts match. Send scores to a Florida public college or university during registration using CEEB code 0095 for Bright Futures.
