Meet the Administration

  • Mr. Oscar Otero
    Principal


    Mr. Otero grew up in Palm Beach County where he attended local public schools. He began his teaching career in Nara, Japan's ancient capital, where he lived for several years after graduating from the University of Florida. He has taught high school English, French and Spanish and has served as an assistant principal and principal for the past twenty years. His leadership experiences at both the middle and high school levels include working with Dual Language Programs, the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program, and leading an AVID National Demonstration School. 

    He earned a master's degree from Florida Atlantic University and has completed additional studies in both France and Spain. 

    Mr. Corey Clawson
    Assistant Principal


    Mr. Clawson is a graduate of the School District of PBC who has worked as a math teacher, coach, and assistant principal for the past ten years. After graduating from the University of Florida, he spent the first six years of his career as a teacher and dean at Wellington High School while also coaching football and softball. 

    Mr. Clawson then worked at Atlantic High School as a Curriculum Assistant Principal for four years. During this time he oversaw the Accelerated Programs (IB, AP, AICE), spearheaded curriculum initiatives, and worked closely with the athletics and arts programs. 

    He earned a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from the University of West Florida.

     

    Ms. Jeanette Machado
    Assistant Principal
     

    Jeanette Machado is proud to be a graduate of the School District of Palm Beach County. She has worked in various capacities within the district, such as Media Specialist, Choice Coordinator, and Assistant Principal for the past thirteen years. Following her graduation from Dreyfoos School of the Arts, Ms. Machado spent the next six years working in a renowned art gallery on Worth Avenue as a fine arts specialist, dealing with the sale and acquisition of works by such artists as Picasso, Degas, Magritte, Chagall, and others. 

    Ms. Machado pursued her undergraduate and graduate studies at Florida Atlantic University, from which she currently holds a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. Her love for the arts is infused into the programs she develops, and she is dedicated to creating meaningful opportunities for students and colleagues that inspire being lifelong learners.

    Ms. Elizabeth Bullard
    Assistant Principal
     

    Mrs. Bullard is a product of the School District of Palm Beach County where she graduated from Suncoast Community High School. After graduation, she completed coursework at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in Tallahassee, Florida. She later transferred to Florida State University where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Math Education.  A love for her community brought her back to Palm Beach County where she received her Graduate Degree in Management and Administration of Educational Programs from Nova Southeastern University.

    Over the past twelve years, Ms. Bullard has worked as a track coach, Math teacher, Department Instructional Leader, and a Secondary Math Instructional Specialist within the district where she has supported staff professional growth and development to enhance student learning and character development.

    Mr. Matthew Starr
    Assistant Principal
       

    Mr. Starr is a graduate of the School District of PBC who has worked as an ESE teacher, math teacher, TOSA/AVID Coordinator, Regional SSCC and an Assistant Principal for the last fourteen years.  After graduating from Florida Atlantic University, he spent 7 years teaching and coaching football, soccer and girls flag football at Santaluces and Palm Beach Central.

    Mr. Starr then worked in the North Region Office as an SSCC Specialist supporting the North Region 7 elementary schools in school systems, behavior and attendance.   He has served as the Assistant Principal at Allamanda Elementary School for the last three and a half years.

    He earned his Masters of Science in Educational Leadership from American College of Education.
