ARRIVAL / TARDIES / EARLY RELEASE
Supervision of students is provided 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after the school day. This also applies to students participating in an approved school activity, game or event. Parents must drop-off and pick-up students within this time frame. Supervision only extends to students attending school and those authorized to participate in activities. Only those students who are under the supervision of an adult at a school authorized activity may remain on campus after school hours.Parents who plan to drive their student to school will enter the campus via the bus loop from the North, on Greenview Shores, with a right turn only. You will exit onto Greenview Shores, to the South, again, right turn only. Please take time to plan your morning and afternoon routes. Parents/guardians will not be allowed to make any left hand turns to and from the new student “drop off/pick up” location. Students may not be dropped off across the street. Students crossing Greenview Shores are to cross at the crosswalk, main gates.
Parents with Golf Carts - We do not allow golf carts on campus. If you will be using a golf cart to drop off your student, please release your student
All students are expected to be in class on time. Entering a class late is disruptive to the learning environment. Students are considered tardy if they are not in their classroom when the tardy bell stops ringing. Late students will be marked “tardy” in SIS by their teachers each period. Excessive tardiness will result in disciplinary action.
Please refrain from attempting an Early Release during lunch, pep rallies, exams (State and National Testing) or planned assemblies (see attached bell schedule)
EARLY RELEASE PROCEDURES - PARENT/GUARDIAN PICK UP
-
Parent, Guardian or approved contact arrives at the main gate to inform of their intentions. (Parent/guardian must have a valid ID and be authorized for pick up). The Main gate will inform the Welcome Center (Single Point of Entry) that the parent has arrived and on their way.
-
The parent will park and walk up to the welcome center to sign out the student. Once signed out and authorized for pick up, the parent will return to their car or wait on the sidewalk outside the main gates. A student runner will go to the appropriate class to retrieve the student and give an early release pass. The student will show the yellow early release form to the main exit gate attendant and sign out. The student will meet the parent outside the main entrance gates.
-
It is important that the student “sign back in” at the Welcome Center if returning to school that same day (Parents do not need to escort a student back on campus).
-
All Early Releases should take place prior to 2:15 p.m.. After 2:15 p.m., our Grade Level Support Center focus will be on managing traffic flow with buses, student drivers and parent pick up, securing the campus for dismissal.
EARLY RELEASE PROCEDURES - “STUDENT DRIVER”, “Walker” or “Bike Rider”

-
The Grade Level Support Center will provide students with a release pass if request was received in advance OR they will send a runner into the class to have the student released if the parent shows up face to face.
-
After release from class, the student will provide the Yellow Release Pass to the check out area at the main gates and sign out.
-
It is important that the student signs back in if returning to school that same day.
