Clubs

  • Clubs allow students to have fun, develop friendships, learn new skills, participate in group activities, and more. Please contact the club sponsor for additional information. Depending on student interest and available funding, additional clubs may be added.

    • All Star Step Team - Students will learn step routines and perform at school events.
      • First meeting – Tuesday, October 22, 4:05-5:35pm
        • The goal of the Step Team is to entertain, develop a sense of pride, gain leadership skills and develop a camaraderie between teammates.  Step Team provides a platform for self-expression through dance. 
        • Stop by Ms. Brown Ware’s room between 8:30 and 9:10 to sign-up.  
        • Practices will be on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons from 4:05 - 5:35pm.

    • Animal Rescue Club - To raise funds and promote awareness of animals in shelters or foster care.
    • Archeology and Treasure Hunters Club - Learn how to find treasures and learn more about Florida history.

    • Battle of the Books Team - Battle of the Books is a countywide competition for students in elementary, middle, and high school.  Students read the Sunshine State books, which serve as the topics for the battle questions.
    • Chess Club - Have you ever wanted to learn how to play chess?  Do you already know how and want to play more?  Join Chess Club! Chess is a challenging, yet really fun game to learn and play! Everyone is welcome to join, from those who already know how to play to completely new.

    • Color Guard Club - Do you like to perform? Want to learn how to spin flags & march with the band? Come be a part of the JMS Color Guard! All are welcome! No experience necessary!

    • First LEGO Robotics Challenge Team - Develop and practice core values, such as teamwork and inclusion, while learning to write original codes that solve critical thinking problems.

    • First Priority - A student-led Christian club. A representative from Christ Fellowship Church comes and helps facilitate the meetings.  Students usually play a game, socialize with other students, and have a mini-lesson on youth and Christianity.

    • Keep On Track - Keep on Track is a girls' running club. It is open to girls in grades 6, 7, and 8.
    • Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) - A student-run organization that unites LGBTQ+ and allied youth to build a community and organize around issues impacting them in their schools and communities
      • Meeting - Tuesday October 29th in Ms. O’Keefe’s room, 4:10pm.

    • Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) - HOSA’s two-fold mission is to promote career opportunities in the healthcare industry and enhance quality health care delivery to all people.
    • Jazz Band - Learn Jazz music and America’s musical contribution.
    • “Ketchup” at Jupiter Middle School - Academic and/or social time for students in 6th - 8th grade.
    • Meditation and Fitness - Incorporate meditation, yoga, fitness videos, dance videos, and more to promote mind and body fitness.
    • Mariner Mermaids SeaPerch Underwater Girls Robotics Club - Learn about electronics, motors, and SeaPerch Robotics while using the engineering design process.

    • National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) - Recognize, challenge, and guide students who demonstrate the five pillars through leadership and service projects in the school and local community. 
      • Meeting - Friday, October 4 – 8:45 am
      • This meeting is only for current members who were inducted at the end of last school year.
      • Please bring copies of your volunteer hours to turn in.  
      • Note:  NJHS is not a traditional club.  Membership is for 8th graders.  Membership is based upon grades, behavior, volunteer work performed and demonstrated leadership.  Opportunity for application will occur later in school year.

    • Paddle Board Club - We paddle a loop on the Intracoastal waterway around Burt Reynolds Park. Students must provide their own transportation to Blueline. 
    • SECME/STEM Club - Are you interested in science, technology, engineering, art and/or math? Do you love to build and design things, research and write reports about your findings?  We need problem solvers and creative thinkers who enjoy working on a team on complex design challenges and are excited about the opportunity to test their solutions in a competitive format against other Middle school teams. The team will work throughout the year in preparation for the annual Olympiad competition.

    • Student Council - Leadership, service work, and social/emotional collaboration drive school spirit. 
    • ROX Club - Student Informational Open House - ROX's mission is to create generations of confident girls who control their own relationships, experiences, decisions, and future. If your student wants to learn more about this club, have them pop into our open house!
      • Wednesday, October 2nd at 8:15-9:30 am OR 4:05-4:30 pm in the Counseling Office.

    • Run on Track for Boys - Explore the different events of the track so they are more familiar with the events and work on conditioning before the track season. 
    • Teen Club - The club focuses on leadership skills, literacy, Self-esteem, coping skills for peer pressure, creating a positive self-image, social/emotional (soft skills), connecting students to school, and fostering a sense of community. 
      • Do you want to make new friends?  You can take the activity bus home. You must wear your lanyard on the bus.

    • Yoga Club - To promote fitness and positive mental health. Work on various yoga poses to develop strength, fitness, and flexibility. Yoga offers a wonderful start to the day, great exercise and is fun. Exact schedule will be provided when student signs up to attend. Wear comfortable clothing - no mat needed (unless you want to bring one).
