Dress Code

The way students dress can have an effect on safety, the classroom atmosphere and the degree of importance the child places on learning. Members of our staff worked together to formulate the dress code. The following is a list of colors and clothing approved for our school.
Boys and Girls:
- Shirts: any solid color “polo” style with a collar and required school logo
- Pants: navy blue, black, or khaki pleated or non-pleated twill
- Shorts: navy blue, black or khaki pleated or non-pleated twill with an in-seam of
- 3 inches or more for K-2 and 4 inches or more for grades 3-5
- All pants and shorts must be worn at the waist. Belts must be worn if the garment does not fit securely around the waistline. No baggie style shorts or pants are to be worn.
- Shoes: closed shoes or sneakers
- Socks: any color
Girls:
- In addition to the above, girls may wear pleated or non-pleated twill skorts, jumpers, polo dresses or Capri pants.
Exception:
Denim jeans or shorts may also be worn on Fridays with the school logo shirt or PE t-shirt.
Unacceptable items include, but are not limited to the following:
- Logos or writing any bigger than a 3”X3” square
- Hats, caps or any other head coverings
- Open or unsafe footwear such as flip-flops, sandals, clogs, Crocs, cleats, or platform shoes (soles over one inch)
- Any clothing that is cut off or unhemmed
- Any denim (jean) clothing, except on Fridays or on designated field days, or field trips
- Baggy pants, butterfly shorts/skorts, Lululemon, athletic attire, basketball shorts, joggers, sweatpants, bodysuits, form-fitting attire, etc.
- Leggings not covered by uniform shorts/skirt
