A student is required to wear the appropriate uniform and maintain a personal appearance within the guidelines of the dress code. If a student is not in proper uniform on any given day, the classroom teacher will send home a dress code violation notice. If the uniform is not worn properly on a continuous basis, it will be indicated on the report card as an area of concern/student needs additional support (+) under the “following rules, routines and directions” section.

All uniform items, EXCEPT shoes and PE shirt are available for purchase from Lands’ End. Items may be purchased elsewhere as long as the uniform is of like color and style. PE Shirts are available on morikami.memberhub.store

Boys Required Uniform

• Belt – solid black belt (required at all times with pants or shorts with belt loops)
• Jacket - evergreen, navy or red, hooded, pullover, zip front jacket or crew sweatshirt with the school or without ANY logo or writing/graphics.
• Pants – khaki or navy
• Shorts – khaki or navy
• Shirts – evergreen, navy, red or white, short or long sleeved, with school logo or without ANY logo, writing/graphics.
• Shoes – any color athletic shoe. Boots, wheels or lights of any kind are prohibited.
• Socks – solid black, navy or white

Girls Required Uniform

• Belt - solid black belt (required at all times with pants or shorts with belt loops)
• Dress - evergreen, navy or red polo as well as khaki or navy ponte’ with school or without any logo
• Pants - khaki or navy
• Shorts - khaki or navy (must be mid-thigh or longer)
• Jacket - evergreen, red, navy, hooded pullover, zip front jacket, or crew sweatshirt with school or without ANY logo or writing/graphics.
• Jumper – khaki, navy or Lands’ End’s plaid (hunter/classic navy, white, classic navy or classic navy/evergreenONLY) (must be mid-thigh or longer)
• Shirts - evergreen, navy, red or white, short or long sleeved, with school logo or without ANY logo
• Skirt - khaki, navy or Lands’ End’s plaid (hunter/classic navy, white, classic navy or classic navy/evergreen ONLY) (must be mid-thigh or longer)
• Skorts – khaki, navy or Lands’ End’s plaid (hunter/classic navy, white, classic navy or classic navy/evergreen ONLY) (must be mid-thigh or longer)

Physical Education Uniform

The Physical Education uniform MUST be worn to school on the scheduled physical education class day

• Bottoms - Solid navy gym shorts, with or without white stripes (no other shades of blue or logos are permitted)
• Tops - heather gray short-sleeved T-shirt with or without school logo or Morikami Spirit Day T-shirt (PE shirts sold on campus)
• Shoes- any color athletic shoe. No boot, wheels or lights of any kind are permitted.
• Socks – solid black, navy or white
• Sweatpants – solid navy may be worn on cool weather days

Fridays are Spirit Day! Students may wear the Morikami Spirit Day shirt or any Morikami shirt with jeans. Jeans must be school appropriate without any tears or holes.

Notes:

• Uniform guidelines require that shirts be tucked in at ALL times.
• Excessive jewelry or bracelets may not be worn, as it is distracting to the learning process.
• Make-up and/or neon hair color is prohibited.
