Arrival & Dismissal Procedures

Doors/Gates open at 7:30am.
Breakfast is served until 7:55am.
All students should be in classrooms by 8:00am.
Please note specific entry/exit routines at each location below.To effectively monitor the arrival of all persons on campus, we implement a single point of entry for all students in the morning. All walkers and car riders enter the same doors in the morning. Bus riders are monitored by staff assigned to the bus/cafeteria entry door in the cafeteria.
Morning Car Drop Off:
- Parents Enter loop via Seminole Drive from South. NO LEFT HAND TURNS OFF SEMINOLE DRIVE.
- Pull up to the curb drop off area at <5miles/hr
- Please do not use cell phones/text during drop off
- Students should exit vehicles only through right passenger doors to ensure safety.
- A staff representative will greet you and your child.
- Students walk down east side of building and enter via PE door. (If raining, main entry doors will be opened. Students will walk down east hallway).
- Follow loop around to Seminole Drive. RIGHT HAND TURN ONLY onto Seminole Drive out of School lot.
Students should not be on campus earlier than 7:30am as there is no supervision.
Afternoon Car Pick Up:
- Students are escorted by a staff member to the parent pick-up area.
- All students wait quietly in a single line by grade level in the assigned area. (Behind stars on pavement).
A staff member will be outside in the car line calling names from signs in cars. - Students are dismissed only to awaiting vehicles who have their pick-up sign clearly posted and visible as they pull up to the pick-up area and will be informed of which cone (1-5) their child will be waiting by a staff member in the line listening to the speaker.
- Students should enter the passenger side of the vehicle only.
If a parent needs assistance or does not have their sign, they will be asked to move their vehicle to a parking space and come to the main office to provide proper identification.
Bus Loop Arrival:
- Students are dropped off at the South Cafeteria doors.
- Students enter the cafeteria line for breakfast or walk to class. (will get stickers with bus numbers the first few days).
Bus Loop Dismissal:
- Students will be escorted to the bus area by a grade level representative
- Students will sit quietly in a line behind designated bus number by grade level
- Staff will check attendance for each bus
- Once attendance is verified, students are escorted to their bus. Staff ensure students board bus and all are accounted for.
Walker Gate Arrival
- Students will be greeted by staff members at the main North-Northwest gate.
- Students will walk along path and head east in front of the main entrance to the east side of the building. (If applicable, students will walk and park their bikes, scooters, skateboards in the Northeast bike gate).
- Students will then walk south and enter the Southeast doors to the covered PE Pavillion, continuing into the main building and into the cafeteria or to classrooms if they are not getting breakfast.
- If raining, the Main Entry doors will be opened for students to travel down the east hallway towards the cafeteria.
Walker Gate Dismissal
- Students are escorted by grade level staff to the Northwest doors (exiting past room 120).
- Staff will escort students to awaiting parents and crossing guard.
- If raining hard/lightning, students will be held inside until it is safe to release them or parent comes in to request dismissal.
- Students do not deviate from daily dismissal procedures unless written parental authorization is received.
- When any person is picking up a student for early dismissal (before 1:30 p.m.) the office personnel MUST check proper identification to see that the person is on the student’s “approved to pick-up” list and MUST check the legal file in case of any limitations. They will then notify the teacher to dismiss the child to the office.
