Disney
Meadow Park students put on a Disney Musical in Schools production every year. The club is made up of 30-40 Fourth and Fifth-grade students who audition and rehearse music, dancing and acting weekly.  Rehearsals are Mondays and Fridays from 2:05-3:30 p.m. The goal is to expose students to the wide spectrum of skills that are cultivated when producing a piece of musical theater, including critical thinking, problem-solving, ensemble building, communication, self-confidence, creativity, and interpersonal skills, along with developing an appreciation of the arts and a strong school community.

WMPE News
Morning announcements are an easy way to spread school news and organizational information for the day.  The Morning News Crew reports to the News Studio daily at 7:55 a.m. and is composed of eight (8) fourth-grade students, whose jobs range from running the microphones and cameras to reporting the weather, lunch, leading the school in the pledge of allegiance and reporting “news” as front desk anchors.  It is a great way for students to have hands-on experience with technology and the use of a green screen. Students audition for the morning news each trimester. Our school news helps us to start each day on a positive note. We announce and celebrate student achievements. This familiarity has done wonders for our sense of security in an ever-changing environment.

Lego League Robot Club
The Lego League Robot Club is for ambitious 4th and 5th graders.  It is a specialized club where the students use building and coding skills. LEGO League introduces Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) to children through fun, exciting, hands-on learning. Students gain real-world problem-solving experiences through a guided, global robotics coding program.

Competitions inspire young people to experiment and grow their critical thinking, coding, and design skills through hands-on STEM learning and robotics. Students must be able to work as a team and compete in scrimmages, qualifiers and competitions. Participants must be prepared to be involved after school and on weekends.  The Lego League Robot Club takes up to 15 students and meets weekly on Thursdays from 2:00-3:00.  There are three planned competitions for the Club throughout the year.

Safety Patrols
The Meadow Park Safety Patrols consist of approximately fifty 5th-grade students.  These students have been selected based on a school rubric, teacher input, and recommendations.  Students gain safety awareness, leadership and teamwork skills, overall pride, a spirit of volunteerism and civic-mindedness and positive collaboration between students, parents, and the school. 

At Meadow Park, a Safety Patrol's primary job is to model for students how to follow the “Eagle Way”: being Safe, Respectful, and Responsible.  Patrols serve as role models while following the safety rules that have been taught in the classroom, to assist students in safe transitions throughout the school, and to keep students safe on campus by communicating in a positive manner.  Being a safety patrol is considered an honor and members are expected to arrive early to school and/or stay late depending on the post in which they are assigned.  They must commit to setting a positive example on and off duty!  Patrols report to duty daily at 7:30 a.m. and 1:55 p.m.  Patrols are expected to attend Patrol meetings monthly and Patrol-sponsored events as scheduled.

Running Club
Running Club is a club for students in grades 2-5. It is a fun way to use some of that built-up energy throughout the day. We start off each session with warm-up exercises, then run around a course around the back of the school with the goal of 1 mile each day increasing gradually to 2 miles each day. The number of students depends on the number of applicants by the deadline, with no more than 75 each day. Running Club will run on Tuesdays for 2nd and 3rd grade students, and Thursdays for 4th and 5th grade students.

On Saturday, October 28 we would like to invite not only all Running Club members, but any student, their family, and staff members to participate in The Heroes For Education Run at John Prince Park. The top schools with the most participation can win money for their school.  You can sign up online or in person. We hope to see you all there!  Also, on January 13 we are inviting all students to join the Running Club to run in the Kids Mile Race at the South Florida Fair. You can also sign up for this online or in person.

K-Kids
K-Kids is the largest service organization for elementary school students, with more than
1,200 clubs worldwide. Club members discover their passion for serving, desire to lead, and their ability to engage and collaborate with others to better the school and community. At Meadow Park, our K-Kids Club is 30 members strong, made up of 4th and 5th graders who participate in student-led service.  K-Kids meets weekly from 2:05-3:00 p.m. The local Kiwanis Club of Palm Beach County serves as the K-Kids Club Sponsor. Students choose their officers and service projects. Among the service projects they are undertaking this year is the Green Club and Recycling initiatives. Students will be collecting candy wrappers and recycling bins at our campus as well as Clean Up projects. Other service projects include Wreaths Across America where our club members and the school community join in by laying wreaths at the graves of service people in the National Cemetery, Back to Basics, Walks, and assisting with other school-based projects. Kiwanis’s Motto is “We Build!”
