Alternate core courses (including AP, IB, AICE, and Dual Enrollment) may be selected based upon the student’s academic performance. Students should pay close attention to the specifics regarding general graduation requirements and diploma designations based upon the year they began 9th grade. Students are also encouraged to visit MyCareerShines website for detailed information on the Florida Gold Seal Vocational Scholarship, as well as access to other career planning tools. Students should always consult with their high school counselor to make sure all graduation requirements are fulfilled and the correct CTE courses are taken to prepare for industry certifications and program completion of the program of study outlined below.

Statewide Articulation Agreements
The State Board of Education has approved a list of Statewide Career and Technical Education Articulation Agreements. This supports the Department’s Next Generation Areas of Focus effort Number 3—“to expand opportunities for postsecondary degrees and certificates.” These agreements are intended to be a minimum guarantee of articulated credit and do not preclude institutions from granting additional credit based on local agreements.
