Student Absences and Tardies
Student Absences
It is state law that students must attend school every day. Parents of students who have excessive absences (10 or more a semester) will be required to meet with school administration and develop an attendance plan to ensure the child is in school.
Excused Absences - Absences are considered to be excused if a student was at a doctor's appointment, student illness, participating in a religious practice or there was a death in the family. Parents may write up to three (3) notes that will excuse absences. After these three notes, a note is required from the doctor.
Student Tardies
After 8:10 a.m., parents are required to park their cars in the parking lot, walk to the main office and sign their child in.
Only one (1) parent will be allowed into the Front Office at a time.
