    Dear Jupiter Middle School Families,As we enter the final stretch of the school year, it's time to tighten up and finish strong. We've made incredible progress together, and we want to keep that momentum going all the way through the last day of school.

    One area where we need to refocus is attendance and punctuality. Simply put: we can't teach our students if they're not in class—and being late means missing valuable learning time.

    We’re also rebooting our Student Conductor Carts, so students need to be in class and ready to go in order to avoid receiving tardies. That means no lingering in the halls or taking the scenic route between periods—it’s time to hustle!

    To our parents and guardians: Please remember that the first class of the day begins at 9:30AM sharp. That means students need to be in their seats by 9:30AM, not walking in from the car loop or checking in at the front office. Your support in helping students arrive on time is essential to their success.

    Let’s keep up the great work, and make sure we end the year on a positive note—together!

    National Junior Honor Society Induction Ceremony
    Wednesday, April 30, 6pm
    Doors open at 5:50pm
    New 7th grade students who have been invited to join NJHS have access to our NJHS google classroom.  Ceremony requirements and information are in the google classroom. 
    Membership in NJHS is by invitation and based on grade point average, volunteer work and leadership positions at school and in the community.
     
    6th grade Open House
    Thursday, May 1, 6-7pm
    Incoming 6th graders and their families are invited to our annual Open House to learn more about JMS.  
    Doors open at 5:50pm

    Communications
    Communications Timeframe:  A quick reminder - Please allow 48 hours/2 business days for a response when contacting teachers or staff.  This provides us the time to gather any necessary information.

    Early Dismissal Notes – Please review
    If you need to pick your student up early, Student should bring note to Front Office upon arrival at school.  Student will be given an early dismissal pass at that time which they will show to teacher.

    8th grade Party Tickets and Yard Signs on Sale
    8th grade party tickets - $35 (Buy at C/D lunch on Tuesday/Thursday OR online)
    Yard sign for your 8th grader - $20

    Jupiter High School
    JHS 9th grade Orientation in July = JHS Jump Start event – An introduction to JHS only for students
    You pick the date you want to attend:  9am to 12noon: July 21 – July 24 OR July 28 – July 31 or they have afternoon sessions on July 30 and July 31
    To register, get your group of friends together, pick your date and register online.

    7th Grade News
    7th grade Trip to Aquatica/Orlando – May 28
    Cost: $120.00 (Includes ticket, meal, special field trip required t-shirt, transportation)
    Deadline to pay – May 5
    Cash or check payable to Jupiter Middle School
    Student must turn in payment and signed permission form at same time.
    Turn in to Ms. Mayes, Student Office.
    Any questions, please email Ms. Mayes
    Students received a letter in January with information about the trip.

    6th Grade News
    6th grade Trip to the Rapids (West Palm Beach)
    May 28, 2025
    Cost:  $75 (Includes ticket, lunch, special field trip required t-shirt, transportation)
    If you have a Rapids annual pass, cost = $50
    Deadline to pay - May 2
    Cash or check payable to Jupiter Middle School
    Student must turn in payment and signed permission form at same time.
    Turn in to Ms. Tarvin during lunch.

    Health Requirements for Next School Year (Mandatory)
    This is for ALL students who will be in 7th grade starting in August, 2025.
    All students who will be in 7th grade starting in August, 2025, have mandatory health requirements before school starts.  Don’t wait; health care providers are very busy during the summer.  Make your appointments soon.  No Shots/Physical – No School – No Kidding
    Students will receive a flyer with this information in their Science class on Monday, April 28.  Please ask your child for the flyer.
