Principal’s Message

Dear Jupiter Middle Families,

Thank you all for a wonderful first semester.  I am so proud of the work of our students, teachers, and staff members, and so very grateful for your support of our school.  Our students continue to excel in academics, arts, athletics, and altruism, and that is a testament to the supportive adults surrounding them on a daily basis.  I’m deeply grateful to work with such caring and competent staff members, parents, and community members here at Jupiter Middle.

I hope you all have a wonderful break full of rest, relaxation, fun, laughter, and love!  Enjoy your time with family and friends, enjoy our beautiful outdoors, be active, read, and take a break from your phones and electronics! 

I look forward to seeing our Mariners back here on Tuesday, January 7th.  In the meantime, Happy Holidays!

Choice Application Season
The Choice Application for next school year is open online until January 31, 2025. 

Absences 
Do you have a question about an absence on a particular day?  Contact the teacher for that period.
Absence Notes: Send notes to Odell French, Attendance Clerk. Include the student's first and last names, student numbers, dates, and reasons for absences.  All absences are not considered excused.  That decision is based upon SDPBC rules.

ACTIVITIES
Clubs - Updates for this week include the Mariner Mermaids Robotics Club.

Athletics - All students trying out for a sports team must have a completed Athletic Packet on file, before tryouts begin.  No exceptions. Contact Nicole Loihle, Athletic Director

Basketball Team Tryouts – Closed tryouts, No spectators
Be dressed and ready to play.  Bring water.
-Girls – January 8, All grades, 7:45-9am
-Boys – January 9, 7th and 8th grade only, 7:45-9am
-Boys – January 10, 6th grade, 8:00-9:00am

Girls Track Intramurals – Tuesday, January 7 until March 11
Meets on Tuesday afternoon – 4:15-5:20pm
Wear appropriate running attire and bring water. 
You must have a Student Participation in Events/Activities permission slip before you can participate. Pick up form from Ms. Brezak or Ms. Cairo.  

Boys Track Intramurals – Wednesday, January 8 until March 12
Meets on Wednesday afternoon - 4:25-5:20pm
Wear appropriate running attire and bring water. 
You must have a Student Participation in Events/Activities permission slip before you can participate. Pick form from Ms. Brezak or Ms. Cairo.
