Afterschool Programming Philosophy
The purpose of the Department of Afterschool Programming is to facilitate opportunities for quality afterschool programs which meet the fundamental needs common to all students during afterschool hours. It is important that students have access to the best possible opportunities to develop into healthy, well-adjusted and responsible adults.
Expanded Learning Opportunities
Green Mouse Academy: Supports schools, after school programs, clubs, camps and organizations with flexible, ready-to-use courses, called Technology Arts, designed for grades K-8.The YMCA’s Physical Activity &
YMCA of Boynton Beach: Wellness program offers activities that build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for children and youth. Through its activities, The Y seeks to combat the epidemic of excessive weight affecting children ages six to 12, provide tools to out-of-school time practitioners to promote active lifestyles supported by positive self-image and relationships and create environments where children feel safe, included, and positively engaged on a physical, social and emotional level.
Afterschool Program Hours
VPK Wraparound: 2:00pm- 4:00pm
Full-time program: 2:30pm- 6:30pm
Part-time program: 2:30pm- 4:30pm
