*you DO NOT have to complete the SSN or FLE ID fields but it is a very good idea to complete the fields below:

*you can use the high school graduation date of 05/26 (this is not the actual date)

*be sure to read each question carefully, especially the one asking if you have ever been convicted of a felony

*after creating the Profile, the student's User ID and password will temporarily display (make a note of this) NOTE: Student will also receive an email with their User ID and temporary password.

*after creating a Profile, students will have the option to continue directly to the FFAA (make sure to do this)

*make sure to hit “SUBMIT” at the end

Qualifying Test Scores for SAT and ACT

Students must send any qualifying SAT or ACT score report to any of the 12 Florida public universities for the scores, (or section scores in the case of superscoring) to be entered into the Bright Futures Scholarship evaluation system.

Students must ensure their current address is accurate on each ACT® and SAT® registration to assist in the test score report confirmation within the evaluation system. Test scores for the 2022 and 2023 graduates include:

Florida Academic Scholars (FAS) – minimum ACT® composite score of 29 or

minimum SAT® combined score of 1330

Florida Medallion Scholars (FMS) – minimum ACT® composite score of 25 or

minimum SAT® combined score of 1210.

How to Access College Application Fee Waivers from College Board

This is the same site where students can conduct other SAT®-related activities, including registering for the test and submitting scores.

STEP 2: Click the link Get your college application fee waivers*

*If you do not see this link, and are a senior who has taken the SAT with a fee waiver and already received your test scores, please contact SAT Customer Service.

STEP 3: View fee-waiver options

Clicking the link takes students to a page where they can:
- Print their college application fee waivers.
- Search for colleges that accept the waivers.
- Review submissions instructions specific to each school.
(NOTE: If you would like to save your college application fee waivers on your computer, click the “save as” feature within your browser and add the extension .pdf at the end of the file name.)

STEP 4: Send fee waiver

Make sure to follow the instructions listed on the fee waiver before sending it to colleges. Remember, you must sign your fee waiver. Good luck with your applications!

What to do before January of your Senior Year?

We strongly recommend you create your account before starting your FAFSA form. Your account username and password combination, called your FSA ID, gives you access to certain information online and allows you to sign your FAFSA form and promissory notes electronically. While you can get your FSA ID as you’re completing the FAFSA form online, getting it ahead of time and using it to fill out the FAFSA form on fafsa.gov cuts down on errors and delays. Go to https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/launch to create your IDs.

What you will need:

The FAFSA questions ask for information about you (your name, date of birth, address, etc.) and about your financial situation. Depending on your circumstances (for instance, whether you’re a U.S. citizen or what tax form you used), you might need the following information or documents as you fill out the FAFSA application:
- Your Social Security number (it’s important that you enter it correctly on the FAFSA form!)
- Your parents’ Social Security numbers if you are a dependent student
- Your driver’s license number if you have one
- Your Alien Registration number if you are not a U.S. citizen
- Federal tax information, tax documents, or tax returns, including IRS W-2 information, for you (and your spouse, if you are married), and for your parents if you are a dependent student:
  - IRS Form1040
  - Foreign tax return or IRS Form 1040-NR
  - Tax return for Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Marshall Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, or Palau

Letters of Recommendation for Colleges and Scholarships

To assist in writing an accurate and detailed letter of recommendation, please fill out the attached form carefully. This questionnaire is designed to help acquire a comprehensive picture of you and your accomplishments. If you have a resume, feel free to attach it. Leaveany questions blank if you feel that you have already answered them somewhere else or you are unsure of the answer. However, remember that the more information that you give, the more detailed and complete the recommendation can be. Ultimately, your letter of recommendation will mirror the effort and work that you put into this questionnaire. As a courtesy, please submit this completed packet at least two weeks in advance of the recommendation due date.

*Note: Most of the state universities DO NOT require a letter of recommendation. If the university does not require a letter of recommendation, DO NOT SEND ONE. Also, letters of recommendation for universities will only be written once you have completed the student application.

SAVE TIME

The SSAR and SRAR are integrated, but each requires their own account. If you started or completed the SRAR (or SSAR) for a participating college or university, you can very easily click to import your coursework from the SRAR to the SSAR and vice versa.

How to import your SSAR into the SRAR

Save time! If you started or completed the SSAR for a participating college or university in Florida, and are now applying to a university using the SRAR, you may easily import your SSAR into your SRAR.

To import your SSAR into the SRAR:

Create a SRAR account, preferably using the same email address used for your SSAR account, and follow the import screen prompts, also shown below, after logging in.

1. Upon login, you will be prompted with the following message on the SRAR Home page: "To save time, would you like to import your Florida Self-Reported Student Academic Record (SSAR) into your SRAR? Get started by clicking the Review and Import SSAR button below."

2. Click Review and Import SSAR.

3. Confirm the SSAR account information (name and email address) shown on screen is correct.

4. Click View Summary to quickly review your SSAR. You can edit/update after import if needed.

5. After reviewing, click Import SSAR button.

6. After import, you will see a green check mark and the message: Import of Coursework Complete.

Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University (FAMU) VIRTUAL TOUR
