2025 Senior / Junior Prom

Prom doors open at 7:30 PM. Students will not be permitted in after 8:30 PM. Students may leave at any time. There is no re-entry.Admissions are on sale on schoolcashonline from April 7, 2025 - April 23, 2025 for $125 each. Senior admissions sales are April 7th - April 13th and Junior / Senior admissions sales are April 14th – April 23rd. Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.
Please note tickets are sold on a first come, first served basis and may sell out before the final date of ticket sales.
Requirements to attend the Prom:
- No outstanding financial obligations owed to the School District.
- Seniors must have at least 20 hours of community service on record with the school.
- Complete a Google Form Prom Contract. The contract will be available starting April 1, 2025. Please make sure your parent/guardian enters their name in the two sections requiring a parent/guardian name. The contract must be completed using a school district email address.
Please complete the guest information on the Google Contract. The guest must currently be attending a public, private or charter high school full time or under the age of 21 on the date of the prom. Adults over the age of 20, elementary and middle school students may not attend. Guests that are not currently enrolled full-time in a public, private or charter high school and are under the age of 21 must complete an online background check on the Florida Department of Law Enforcement website.
- If your guest is a Non-DJGHS student, you must complete a Guest Request Form (also found in the Athletics and Activities Office)
- If your guest is a DJGHS student, indicate their name under Guest Name on the Google Form Prom Contract. Your DJGHS guest must also complete a Google Form Prom Contract.
- Once your guest is approved, you will receive an email and an additional ticket will be put on your schoolcashonline account for purchase.
- The completed Guest Request Form must be turned in to the Athletics and Activities Office by 3:00 pm on April 17, 2025 for approval.
- DJGHS administration reserves the right to refuse any individual. Administration will consider previous disciplinary infractions and/or legal issues. The DJGHS Administration will make the final determination as to whether a guest will be permitted to attend
Dress Code Guidelines:
Prom is a formal and special night for Dr. Joaquín García High School students. We hope to maintain the integrity and formality of this night by implementing the following dress code guidelines. Students and their guests are expected to wear formal attire. Formal Prom attire is a cocktail dress or gown, tuxedo or dress suit and dress shoes.While we will be reasonable in our interpretation of these guidelines, we want you to know that you will not be permitted into the Prom if you are dressed inappropriately, and you will not receive a refund. Most importantly, this dress code does not limit your ability to show your style and uniqueness. There are many beautiful and stylish options that do meet the dress code guidelines.
- Dresses may be strapless
- Dresses may not be cut below the bust line or have a deep V neckline with a sheer insert.
- Dresses may be backless, as long as it is not cut below the naval.
- Dresses may not have cut-outs or open sides. Mesh or sheer fabric-covered cut-outs are not permitted.
- Dresses may not be shorter than mid-thigh or have a slit that exceeds mid-thigh (this is fingertip length).
- Undergarments should not be visible. See-through apparel is not permitted.
- Hats and canes are not permitted.
- Tuxedos and suits must include a jacket, dress shirt and dress shoes.
Please continually check your School District email. You will receive a confirmation email from Ms. Lamb in 1 - 2 school days from completing everything, confirming you have met all the requirements and will be attending the Prom. If you are missing any requirements, you will receive an email letting you know what is missing.
