School Grade Matrix
Note on School Grade Scales: in prior years, a single scale was used to designate grades for all school types as well as for districts. However, with the transition to new assessments in FY2023, separate scales were used for Elementary, Middle, High, and Combination schools to designate the FY2023 School Grades. In addition, a separate scale was used to determine the District grades. The use of separate scales allowed the FLDOE to generate FY2023 grades that were statistically equivalent statewide to the distribution obtained in FY2022. The below matrix provides each scale, as well as the individual components used for all schools (Note: Learning Gains are included in this matrix but were NOT Calculated in FY2023 due to the implementation of FAST).
