Get Your Child Ready for the Next Step

The expectations below represent select skills that children should master or be working on at the end of their prekindergarten experience. It is important to remember that children enter kindergarten with a wide range of skills and experiences. Teachers in the School District of Palm Beach County support incoming kindergarten children at all levels of learning and development. This list of skills was developed as a part of the Riviera Beach Prekindergarten Collaborative, which is a collaborative effort between kindergarten teachers from several Riviera Beach elementary schools and directors/instructors from several Riviera Beach private childcare centers.
