    The Palm Beach County School Board adopted the policy regarding personal appearance of students. [Policy 5.18 (3) (a), (b), & (c)].

    The following dress code policy has been approved by Clifford O. Taylor/Kirklane Elementary School Advisory Committee. Revised April 17, 2017.

    Our students are expected to conform to the uniform dress code policy Monday through Friday of each week. Unacceptable items of clothing such as jeans, provocative tops, shorts, skirts (exposing midriffs, hips, and/or thighs), and inappropriate pictures, language drawn or written on clothing are strictly forbidden.

    Mandatory Uniform Dress Code Attire

    1. School colors are red, white and blue.
    2. Solid navy blue, khaki, white or black: jumper dresses, skirts, skorts and shorts or slacks. Skirts, skorts, jumper dresses or shorts should be just above the knees.
    3. Any solid collared shirts/blouses-polo, oxford, turtle neck shirts (short or long sleeves).
    4. Sweat shirts, “hoodies”, jackets and sweaters must be SOLID color. No logos, patterns, pictures or designs.
    5. Dockers-style pants which are correctly sized, worn at the waist, solid navy blue, khaki, black, or white. No sweatpants, joggers, leggings or ripped pants. Solid color(only) leggings are allowed under uniform approved skirts, shorts, and dresses. Belts are optional.
    6. Socks must be worn.
    7. Shoes and sneakers must be with closed toe and back. No WHEELS. Flip-flops, slides, strapless open-toed and high-heeled shoes are prohibited as they may contribute to student injury during the day.
    8. Field Trips- Students must be in full uniform, or they may wear their field trip shirt – No Jeans.

    “School Spirit Day” is every Friday. “School Spirit” is an important part of Clifford O. Taylor/Kirklane Elementary School. On Fridays only, students may wear jeans and a Clifford O. Taylor/Kirklane School T-Shirt, Club T-Shirt or T-Shirts sold through our school fundraisers.
