  • Bak Builders Club
    Bak Builders Club is a student-led volunteer organization open to students in grades 6-8. Monthly meetings are held on campus, however, students and their families are encouraged to participate in off-campus volunteer projects throughout the year. Our motto is “Building leaders one community service project at a time.”

    National Junior Honor Society
    The National Junior Honor Society is an organization for eighth grade students who are committed to the five pillars of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship.  Students who desire to be a part of NJHS will have an opportunity to apply in the spring of their seventh grade year. Applications will be available in March. Members will be selected based on their completed application, an essay, and a history of their dedication to community service.  Additionally, students must have a minimum 3.9 GPA. The school sponsor is Jennifer Gardner.

    Green Team
    Green Team maintains the butterfly garden and recycles paper/cardboard, ink, and more.  

    The students will hold elections for officer positions, brainstorm and vote on projects the team will work on. 
    Past projects include - BinIt Donation Drive, Sharing Basket Collection, planning and executing a Bak Beautification Day, Collection of used markers, and incorporating Meatless Mondays.

    Join the fun! Green Team meets one to two times a month on Thursdays after school.
    Parent pick-up is at 5:10 pm or students may ride the activity bus.
    Please see Mrs. Bejarano (Mrs. B.) in the Media Center at the beginning of each school year for a permission slip and dates.

    SECME
    SECME is an engineering club where students create projects using recycled items in preparation for our SECME Olympiad. Our SECME Club is open to students in grades 6-8. Weekly meetings are held after school on campus each Wednesday from 3:30
    to 5:15 pm. Students and their families are encouraged to participate in offcampus build workshops held throughout the year. Students may pick up an application/permission form at student services or during the club meeting. Students need to make sure they have a reliable ride home at 5 p.m.

    We are looking for student leaders who want to make the students' voices heard! Help to shape the student activities here at Bak, participate in community projects, and learn more about being a leader.

    Stitch Club
    Stitch Club’s aim is to develop skills in crochet, enabling students to progress onto individual projects. In addition, Stitch Club will be a fun environment to bond with other creative and crafty people. No prior stitch experience is necessary to join.  We will provide instruction and guidance for students of all skill levels. The group will have non-refundable dues of $25 to cover basic materials for the year.
