Cox Science Center
Cox Science Center and Aquarium (CSCA) is pleased to announce 6 exciting, educational programs for elementary and middle school-age youth at Palm Beach County afterschool and summer sites. The Passport to STEM program covers a variety of topics like chemistry, marine biology, electrical engineering, and computer science! Our hands-on activities will be available to children and youth from October 2022 to September 2023. CSCA programs follow our mission statement designed to excite curiosity and further the understanding and appreciation of science.

Digital Vibez
Fitness Jamz is designed to combat childhood obesity by empowering youth and providing participants with sessions containing the resources to do so. Participants will collaborate with other youth on a dance fitness routine using diverse songs and beats to increase physical activity in a fun way. Participants will also learn a variety of physical activities and games they can take back home to their family and friends and be encouraged to work together with other youth in performing their routine at the end of the last session for a culminating family night.

Get Fit for Kidz
Get Fit 4 Kidz will come to our community after school and provide an hour or two of fun and invigorating activities that strongly promote fitness/physical activity and cooperative play. We offer 2-hour classes with activities that include fitness, obstacle relays, cooperative games, and sports. Good sportsmanship is emphasized at all times.
There will be a rotating schedule where the children will be participating in this program throughout the year.

Loggerhead Marinelife Center
Loggerhead Marinelife Center's out-of-school time programs focus on promoting the conservation of ocean ecosystems with a special focus on threatened and endangered sea turtles. These programs will expose children to the wonderful underwater world as they discover Florida's marine biodiversity through interactive lessons and games. From stepping into the scrubs of an Aquatic Veterinarian to digitally diving on Florida's Coral Reef, the Diving into Ocean Connections lessons support STEAM learning through marine life and fun.

YMCA Boynton Beach
The YMCA’s Physical Activity & Wellness program offers activities that build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for children and youth. Through its activities, The Y seeks to combat the epidemic of excessive weight affecting children ages six to 12, provide tools to out-of-school time practitioners to promote active lifestyles supported by positive self-image and relationships and create environments where children feel safe, included, and positively engaged on a physical, social and emotional level.

Youth Speak Out International
Today’s Digital Citizens™ (TDC) is an innovative, direct service S.T.E.A.M program that helps students build their media literacy and interpersonal communication skills as they become proficient in digital citizenship. Students discuss age-related digital citizenship topics such as digital literacy, media literacy, privacy and reputation, online security, safety, cyberbullying, and mental well-being. TDC promotes well-being and life skills as students practice and become proficient with the skills of emotional management, empathy, teamwork, responsibility, and problem-solving. and taking initiative. Students learn to write scripts and create storyboards as they produce self-directed Public Service Announcements that educate the community on the need to become proficient digital citizens. Youth Speak Out International envisions a world in which empowered youth with strong human connections live with the purpose of building a vibrant global community.
