Afterschool Information

  • Here at the Everglades Elementary Afterschool Program, we offer a variety of activities as well as enrichment activities that our students can participate in daily. 

    Family Involvement and Resources

    In striving to best serve families, please remember that the door to the afterschool program is always open. Authorized parents/guardians will be allowed access to the program in accordance with appropriate safety procedures as outlined by the afterschool program. Parent/guardian resources are available on the Parent/Guardian Information Board located in the afterschool office. Families are considered partners in this afterschool program. Parents wishing to share their talents with afterschool students should contact the afterschool site director. Should a parent's schedule allow them to participate during afterschool hours or special events, they should check with the director to join in the fun! District Afterschool Programming

  • The School District of Palm Beach County offers high-quality afterschool programs that meet the fundamental needs of students during out-of-school time. Our programs provide a safe, secure environment in which children can be involved in wholesome, enriching activities that deliver meaningful out-of-school-time experiences. 

    • For the 2024-2025 school year, registration for District afterschool programs for grades K-5 is available via an online portal.  
    • Parents can register for an afterschool program by visiting the online registration portal, Eleyo to submit an afterschool program registration contract request. Enrollment can only be requested for grades K-5 programs.  

    Once a contract request has been submitted, all students will be placed on the waitlist. Submitting a contract request does not guarantee enrollment into the program.  Acceptance into an afterschool program is determined by the number of slots available, on a first-come, first-served basis. Upon approval of your contract request, you will be notified via email. 

    There is a $35 registration fee for elementary afterschool programs. Parents will be required to submit the registration fee when they are notified that their Eleyo enrollment contract request has been accepted. Payment can be made online through Eleyo, or in person at the school site by check, or money order. 

    School District employees with children enrolled in K-5 afterschool programs are eligible for a 25% tuition discount. To receive the discount, employees must submit Form PBSD 2476 Employee Verification for Afterschool Programs. The deadline for submission is August 31st for the discount to begin on September 1st. 

    Forms received after August 31st will be processed as of the date submitted by the employee, with the discount beginning the following month. Please note that employees must fill out a new form for EACH school year for EACH child enrolled in an afterschool program. Discounts do NOT roll over from year to year.
