If you or someone you know is a target of bullying, abuse, mistreatment, harassment, threat or intimidation, please immediately report this information.  Reporting is not tattling when the intention is to alert the teacher and/or administration of any harmful acts of mistreatment towards yourself or others. Timely reporting is essential to ensure that action can be taken. When possible, students should report incidences before leaving campus. There are various reporting methods to use (both anonymously and non- anonymously):

1. Report to the teacher any incident that happens in the classroom at the time that it occurs.
2. Go to School administration (Assistant Principal or Principal) during school hours – please ensure you make personal contact.
3. Email your Assistant Principal- if you report after school hours.
4. Report using the “Bully Box” located in Students Services (forms by the box)
5. Use the District’s Bullying hotline at 561-434-8200 or complete a form at https://sites.google.com/palmbeachschools.org/bully

 Important: These methods above are monitored during working hours. If you have an emergency that needs an immediate response/life threatening, please call 911.

 See below for additional reporting systems that involve state and local law enforcement to report such things as threats, suspicious activities, and time sensitive safety issues. These are monitored by law enforcement after school hours. Please carefully read the information below so you are empowered to make these types of reports when necessary.

The School District of Palm Beach County and District Police Department joined with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office to provide students and parents with a new tool to connect schools directly with law enforcement. The app, called Student Protect, allows students, parents, and staff to report threats and suspicious activity directly to local law enforcement. The app provides centralized reporting where the concern is reviewed and sent to the right agency to investigate. Tips sent through the app can be made anonymously and users can also include video and images with the report. Users can also submit reports of concerns over mental health, social media, and bullying, but law enforcement warned that false reports made through the app will also be investigated and can lead to disciplinary and legal action. The app will be available for both Apple and Android devices. FORTIFY FLORIDA - To Report Suspicious Activity, Threats/Potential Threat or Violence Against the School/School Safety Concerns.
FortifyFL app – FortifyFL was created and funded by the 2018 Florida Legislature as part of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Act. FortifyFL is a suspicious activity reporting tool that allows you to instantly relay information to appropriate law enforcement agencies and school officials. This automatically routes your tip report to the appropriate law enforcement agencies (state and local) and school officials. All students have the FortifyFL icon on their Student Portal. You can submit a tip online and the app can be downloaded through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Important: The spreading of information or perpetuating rumors either in school and/or on social media does not help resolve an issue or a concern; it makes matters worse. It is the expectations that students, parents, and other stakeholders utilize the reporting tools above for the safety of all involved. If the use or posting to a social media site creates a substantial and material disruption on a school campus, regardless of time or location while posting to a social media site, the student(s) will be subject to the behavioral standards set forth in the Student Code of Conduct. School Disruption is a Level 3 offense, which could result in the student(s) immediate exit from Bak MSOA. Please speak to your child so he/she understands the importance of responsible citizenship.
