The presentation will focus on culture, languages, educational differences, and will provide information regarding Guatemalan /Mayan students in Palm Beach County.

 Mr. Francisco Felipe is a descendant of the Maya Q’anjob’al-Akateko community of the Northern Highlands of Guatemala. He currently works with the School District of Palm Beach County as a Mayan Q’anjob’al -Akateko language interpreter with the Department of Multicultural Education. Mr. Pascual is a motivational speaker to students in Palm Beach County. He shares his story and arduous journey from Guatemala through Mexico to the United States. His inspirational journey is a testament to what a person can achieve when given the opportunities and tools for success. Mr. Francisco has conducted professional development for teachers, students, administrators, and staff regarding the Mayan Diaspora in Palm Beach County.
