Pete Stewart, MPH, CPH Biography & Presentation

Participants will learn about historical perspectives and social movements through the lens of intersectionality, particularly relating to sexual orientation, gender identity, and expression and Latinx populations.

Pete Stewart has served as the Health Education Specialist for the School District of Palm Beach County since 2008. He received his Master’s Degree in Public Health from the University of South Florida (2007) and his Bachelor’s Degrees in Anthropology and Classical Studies from the University of Florida (1992).

In addition to his Social Justice and Equity, particularly for LGBTQ+ students who attend our schools, Mr. Stewart has used his anthropology and public health backgrounds engaging in projects with Haitian and Maya populations in South Florida, as well as conducting field work with the Panamanian Health System through University of South Florida and el ciudad del saber (City of Knowledge) in Panama City, Panama.
