Jameson Stell Biography & Presentation

Jameson Stell is a World Languages/ESOL Instructional Specialist in the PBCSD Department of Multicultural Education. He has taught at Forest Hill High School, Florida Atlantic University, and the PBCSD Adult Education Center. His instructional experience spans across various subjects including Spanish, ESOL, Latinos in Action, college/career readiness, and AVID. He holds a Bachelors in Spanish Language and Cultures and a Master of Arts in TESOL/Bilingual Education from FAU and is currently in candidacy for a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction at FAU. Jameson is committed to empowering Latino youth to lead and strengthen their communities and to equipping educators with the tools to do the same.


Taking the Baton of Bilingualism & Biculturalism: Student Perspectives on the Impact of Spanish Language Learning
In this session, current students and alumni of the PBCSD will share how their participation in the District’s Spanish World Language and/or Dual Language courses enabled them to develop their Spanish language abilities and embrace their bicultural identity. Join in to hear students share how their experiences in PBCSD Spanish courses positively influenced them in a variety of ways, including increased language skills, cultural awareness, personal identity, college and career readiness, and global-mindedness.
