Shirts, Pants, Shorts, and Dresses:
- NO sleeveless shirts, tanks, tube tops, spaghetti straps or crop tops
- NO sheer cloth
- Neckline must be high enough to prevent the exposure of cleavage
- NO pants worn below the waistband
- NO cut-up jeans above the knee
- NO leggings, tights, or biker shorts
- Skirts, dresses, and shorts must touch the knees. Split cannot reach above the knee
- No exposed undergarments, midriffs, backs, or sides
Shoes:
- Shoes must be closed at the toe and heel
- Athletic-style shoes (sneakers) are preferred
- No crocs, flip-flops, house/bedroom slippers, high heels, athletic slides or platform shoes
General:
- Students are required to have CLEAR or MESH BACKPACKS ONLY
- Purses and all other bags MUST be smaller than 9" x 9"
- NO caps, hats, bandannas, or sunglasses, or any type of head covering allowed (hooded jackets must not be worn on the head)
- NO clothing, jewelry, buttons, etc. with words, phrases, symbols, pictures or insignia that are disruptive, obscene, profane, racist, suggestive, offensive, or related to drug or alcohol use.
- Any attire, jewelry, or ornamentation deemed provocative, unsafe, inappropriate, or disruptive by the administration is NOT allowed.
- Cell phones must be powered off and in a backpack or purse during the school day.
- Due to various health issues for some students and staff, perfume, cologne, body spray, sunscreen, and other strong aromatic items must be applied at home.
- P.E. shirts and shorts are to be worn ONLY in P.E.
- NO blankets are allowed
Students at Jeaga Middle School are expected to continue a tradition of appropriate dress for school and all school-related events. We expect our students to be dressed for an academic atmosphere of purposeful learning and responsible citizenship. These guidelines will help you make good choices about what is appropriate to wear to school.
