Student Arrival and Dismissal Procedures

    Pre-K: 8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
    K-12: 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

    Student Arrival

    • Pre-K Full Day and Half Day AM Parent Drop Off: 8:15 - 8:30 a.m. Any Pre-K student arriving after 8:30 should be brought into the office to be signed in by the person dropping them off.
    • Pre-K Half Day PM Parent Drop Off: 11:45 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Any Pre-K Half Day PM student arriving after 12:00 should be brought into the office to be signed in by the person dropping them off.
    • K-12 Parent Drop Off: 9:00 - 9:30 a.m. Any K-12 student arriving after 9:30 should be brought into the office to be signed in by the person dropping them off.

    Car Rider
    When you enter Royal Palm School via the Lawrence Road main entrance gate, turn right as soon as you enter the gate. Proceed to follow the drop-off/pick-up loop counter-clockwise. All students will be escorted to class by a staff member.

    Student Dismissal

    Pre-K Half Day AM Students start dismissal at 11:00 a.m.
    Pre-K Full Day & Half Day PM Students start dismissal at 2:00 p.m.
    K-12 Students start dismissal at 3:30 p.m.

    Early Dismissal
    Students may be signed out early by a legal guardian on file. Students must be signed out NO LATER THAN 1:30 for Pre-K and 2:30 for K-12, or the student will be released during regularly scheduled dismissal.

    Car Rider
    When you enter Royal Palm School via the Lawrence Road main entrance gate, turn right as soon as you enter the gate. Students will be escorted and assisted to the Parent Pick-up loop by a staff member. Parent/Guardian MUST have their Royal Palm Car Tag with their child's name displayed in the car. Parent/Guardian without a Royal Palm Car Tag will have to show ID in order for the student to be released.

    The Duty of Student Supervision
    Under Florida Statute 1003.31, a student is deemed to be under the control of the instructional staff at a school for a "reasonable" time before and after school or a school-related activity. The statute further defines "a reasonable time" to be thirty minutes before or after the scheduled activity, including before and after school hours.

    Inclement Weather Dismissal
    In the event of severe inclement weather, dismissal will be delayed until it is safe for the students and staff to move outside.
