The Lake Shore Middle School Roadrunner Band is the Glades area premier musical unit. These young musicians have blossomed and embraced the culture of "Music In Our Schools" and have excelled at a fast rate. Since 2016, the Roadrunner Band has grown by almost 70+ students in all bands. Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced bands all provide different levels of instruction that are suitable for any and ALL students at Lake Shore Middle School. The fourth band, Symphonic Band, is for hand selected top performing students in the band program and takes place before and after school.

The Roadrunner Band has attended the District MPA (Music Performance Assessment) for the past three years. Two of the three years, the band has earned the rating of an EXCELLENT on-stage performance based on sound, intonation and rhythmic execution. In addition, the Roadrunner Band has traveled to Orlando, Florida to perform at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure for the STARs Program. Making performance appearances at local elementary schools, high schools, nursing homes and the South Florida Fairgrounds. There is no stopping this Roadrunner Band!
