What is HLJ PTO All About? 

Our mission is to create the kind of school community where teachers and administrators can do their best work – and so can our children. We provide support for teachers in and out of the classroom. We provide resources they need. We help create learning opportunities for children.  And we try to build the kind of supportive, caring atmosphere that makes school fun. To achieve this mission and afford services no longer covered by school budgets, we fundraise. 

What Programs/Events Does PTO Manage? 

• Coordinating Volunteers (PTO events, Copy Center, Media Center, Rita’s Ice Fridays, Cafeteria Helpers, Book Fairs) 

• Family Night Events 

• Fall Catalog and Cookie Dough Fundraiser  

• Holiday Shops 

• School Store 

• Teacher & Staff Appreciation 

• Business Partner Recruitment 

• Team Green Activities

How Does PTO do it? 

With dedicated volunteers, like you! Think you don’t have time? Even 1 hour makes a difference and is appreciated! We will honor your time constraints and won’t push you to commit more than you want to or are able to. Grandparents are always welcome to volunteer, as well!
