Jorge Echegaray Biography & Presentation
Jorge Echegaray currently serves as the Manager of the Migrant Education Program of the School District of Palm Beach County. Prior to this role, Mr. Echegaray served as a Program Specialist for the Migrant Education Program at Orange County Public Schools and as an Educational Specialist for the Eastern Stream Center On Resources and Training (ESCORT). During his time with ESCORT, Jorge provided professional development to Migrant Education Programs all over the Eastern United States. Mr. Echegaray began his career in education as a middle school ELL and Math teacher in Allentown, PA, in 2002. Mr. Echegaray earned a Bachelor's degree in Human Development & Family Studies from The Pennsylvania State University and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from The University of Central Florida.
Migrant Students Transforming the Landscape of Education in Palm Beach County.
The audience will learn about migrant students and families and how they are transforming the educational landscape in the county. The presenters will also illustrate how the Migrant Education Program is meeting the educational and social needs of migrant students and their families through innovative supplemental educational practices all while valuing the culture and diversity of the migrant population in Palm Beach County.
