The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Division of Adolescent and School Health (DASH) has established an evidence-based approach schools can implement to help prevent HIV, STDs, and unintended pregnancy among adolescents. It includes delivering Human Growth & Development (HG&D), increasing access to Student Health Services (SHS), and promoting Safe and Supportive Environments (SSE). The School District of Palm Beach County has been a recipient of the CDC DASH grant since 1997.
The purpose of Cooperative Agreement PS18-1807 CDC DASH is to improve the health and well-being of our local youth by working with education and health agencies, and other organizations to reduce HIV, STD, teen pregnancy, and related risk behaviors among middle and high school students.
