Kimberly Coombs Biography & Presentation

Kimberly Coombs is the K-12 Holocaust Studies Program Planner in the School District of Palm Beach County. She earned her undergraduate degree in education at Plymouth State College in New Hampshire and her Masters of Education from Florida Atlantic University. Kim started her career in Palm Beach County Schools twenty-eight years ago as a classroom teacher where she taught for twenty years. She then worked in the District’s Regional office before becoming a Single School Culture Coordinator. She continued her work training teachers, providing support and writing lessons in the Department of Teaching and Learning.

In this 45 minute session, presenters will share resources from Centropa (www.centropa.org) for teaching about Sephardic Jews—Jews originally from Spain—and their experiences in the Holocaust.
